Welcome to the first issue of The Quality Connection, the newsletter of the Consumer
Coalition for Quality Health Care. We hope you will find it so helpful that you anxiously
await its arrival — and pass each issue on to friends and colleagues.
Every day, advocates are on the front lines trying to convince lawmakers, CEOs and
government bureaucrats to do the right thing for consumers. This first issue is dedicated to
you, in honor of your efforts and accomplishments so far.
We’ll be bringing you “news you can use:”
This newsletter will be a collaborative effort. We need your help to keep in touch with state
campaigns and to keep our finger on the pulse of the grassroots movement demanding
quality in health care. Please call, fax or send us updates on your activities and other events
in your state.
Together, we can help shape the new health care system by reminding the powers that be,
over and over again, that health care is about people not profit!
The Quality Connection is a good way for all of us to keep in touch and draw strength
